Managing Load Demand And Power Output
The solar hybrid system will have frequent changes in the electrical load demand and system power output. It is designed to reliably monitor these parameters in real time. The controller is equipped with mechanism to determine the critical points in the operation. At such critical points, the system will automatically command either the batteries or the diesel generator set to supply the required power to the load.
The inverter is capable of determining the engagement priority of the batteries and generator set based on its preset programming that takes the following factors into account: 
· Start up fuel requirement for the generator set
· Recommended up time for the generator set
· Start up and shutdown time
· Minimum loading (10% on the generator set)
· Spinning reserve level of the batteries
· Failure of any of the system equipment
Under the normal circumstances where all equipment are working, the solar array will produce energy at a rate determined by the inverter. The spinning reserve in the batteries will be commissioned depending on the load and if this is insufficient, the generator set will be started.
The system has the ability to measure the amount and control the power generated by the solar array. If the battery banks have been fully charged and the load is lower than the power produced by the solar arrays, the system is able to reduce the power from the solar arrays automatically.
